Job Purpose

• This entry-level position gives a 360-degree hands-on practical experience from idea conception, implementation, release, and aftercare of robust APIs, ensuring high availability and performance. Thanks to these APIs, the smooth operations are maintained;
• This role involves hands-on learning and active participation in enhancing the developer experience and operational efficiency by experimenting and applying technical expertise.
• The ideal candidate will be eager to become a trusted team member, someone their peers can rely on, and will not shy away from proposing changes and innovations, regardless of seniority level. Furthermore, the Junior API Developer will support the transition from the current hybrid platform to the new developer productivity platform by mid-2025, ensuring a seamless and efficient migration.

Key Responsibilities

• API Development and Maintenance: Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of RESTful APIs using programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers and other team members to implement new features and improve existing ones.• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for APIs and related software.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to API performance and functionality.
• Support: Provide technical support to internal and external users of the APIs.

Requirements

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Basic understanding of RESTful API principles and best practices.

Soft Skills:

Experience:

• Previous internship or project experience in software development is a plus.
