The Business Analyst translates the business strategy into business processes. As an expert in both the business processes and the ICT application landscape, the BA is the responsible bridging function between the business and ICT services. The BA ensures an excellent understanding / cooperation and is accountable for the substantive translation and alignment of activities, both in "think" phase and during projects and operational management.
The business analyst:
Succeeds, in line with the business strategy, in using the right business requirements to arrive at state-of-the-art solutions that are market compliant and in line with the ICT principles and strategy
Is responsible for challenging, and pro-active translation of customer needs / business needs from the related domain
Supervises and contributes to the testing and forms the bridge with the business experts and ensures thorough documentation for the end users
Acts as a key stakeholder and source of knowledge and information in the end-to-end business cycle of the process
Understands the business, captures their requirements and can translate this to technical people
Pushes the business to think further and challenges them to really capture the business problems and needs that needs to be solved
