We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of logistics operations, and excellent communication abilities to facilitate effective collaboration between technical teams and stakeholders. The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements, as well as translating business needs into actionable IT solutions.
Responsibility
Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements for new aviation IT systems.
Conduct thorough research and analysis of existing systems, processes, and technologies to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Develop comprehensive business requirement documents, functional requirement documents, and other relevant documentation to clearly articulate business needs and system functionalities.
Work closely with technical teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and IT solutions, providing clarification and guidance as needed.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors throughout the development lifecycle.
Participate in the design and review of functional system architecture, workflows, and user interfaces to ensure usability and effectiveness.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in aviation IT to proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure successful implementation of IT projects within scope, timeline, and budget constraints.
Ideal Profile
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
In-depth knowledge of aviation industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into clear and actionable deliverables.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with structured analysis techniques (e.g. SA/SD, Information Engineering or equivalent), requirements gathering, documentation, and validation processes.
Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, such as process modeling, logical data modeling, business rule specification, business service specification and use case analysis.
Profound understanding of the Domain Driven Design concepts (more specifically: strategical design).
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, as well as experience working in cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in all deliverables.
Excellent documentation skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) is a plus.
Experience with aviation-specific IT systems such as flight operations, maintenance, crew scheduling, or cargo management systems.
Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and industry-specific standards (e.g., ARINC).
Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and tools.
Languages: English Fluent verbal and written (Dutch is a plus)
