As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the Commercial & Customer Intelligence team, where you focus on creating sustainable value for its customers. You achieve this by making various types of data sources available to data scientists and Tableau experts.

As a Data Engineer, you are results-driven, entrepreneurial and critical-minded. You collaborate with colleagues across different departments, which means being diplomatic and communicative is essential. When a problem arises, you dive into it and investigate until the root cause is found—even when it’s unexpected or not immediately clear.

Tasks

• Design and develop technical solutions to collect, store and analyze large volumes of data

• Build and maintain data pipelines both on-premise (Oracle) and in the cloud (AWS/Azure)

• Prepare and structure data for data scientists and Tableau experts

• Capture data requirements and define acceptance criteria

• Develop and manage multiple data flows through (meta) pipelines

• Ensure optimal batch processing flow and high data quality

• Thoroughly document data solutions and processes

Ideal Profile

• You hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field or have equivalent experience

• You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role

• You have native-level Dutch and a good command of English

• You have strong knowledge of Python and SQL

• You are familiar with ETL tools (e.g. Kubeflow, Pentaho)

• You have knowledge of modern data warehousing, data modeling, and DBMSs such as Redshift, Azure SQL and Synapse
