Due to a temporary capacity shortage within the Data Insights & Controlling – Wealth & Entrepreneurship team, additional support is required to ensure the continuity and quality of our data and reporting activities. We are looking for an experienced external consultant who can take on both ongoing and new needs related to KPI definitions, data requirements, and management reporting, while also acting as a bridge between business, IT, and data teams. This temporary reinforcement will enable the team to continue supporting management and the network in a timely and accurate manner with consistent, reliable, and targeted management information.

Objective of the assignment

The external consultant will support the Data Insights & Controlling team within Wealth & Entrepreneurship in further enhancing the data and reporting environment.

The focus is on:

• structuring and formalizing data and KPI definitions,
• translating business needs into concrete data requirements for IT,
• setting up a management dashboard aligned with the needs of management, the network, and the strategic agenda,
• and supporting ad hoc analytical requests.

The consultant acts as a bridge between management, business, IT, and data teams, and guides stakeholders in clearly defining what they want to monitor and steer on.

Key responsibilities

1. Data and KPI definitions

• Inventory and structure KPI needs for management, network, and business.
• Develop and document:
  • KPI definitions
  • business rules
  • formulas and calculation logic
  • inclusion/exclusion criteria
• Ensure consistency between reporting, definitions, and underlying data sources.
• Align definitions with data analysts, data scientists, and IT.

2. Business ↔ IT translation (data requirements)

• Translate business questions into clear functional and data requirements.
• Support in:
  • data modeling
  • source identification
  • prioritization of requirements
• Act as a point of contact and sparring partner between:
  • business & management
  • IT & data delivery teams

3. Management dashboard & reporting

• Guide stakeholders in determining:
  • what they want to monitor
  • at what level (strategic / tactical / operational)
  • with what frequency
• Provide recommendations on:
  • KPI sets
  • visualizations and dashboard structures
  • storytelling and interpretation
• Contribute to the actual development of dashboards and reports (in collaboration with data analysts / BI profiles).
• Ensure dashboards align with the strategic agenda and management information needs.

4. Ad hoc analyses & support

• Support ad hoc data and analytical requests from management and business.
• Identify data quality or interpretation issues.
• Contribute to structural solutions rather than one-off analyses.

Required competencies

Content expertise

• Strong experience in:
  • data analysis

• Proven experience with:
  • dashboarding (e.g. Tableau, Power BI or similar)
  • data definitions and documentation
• Understanding of the data value chain, from source to reporting.
• Experience in a complex organizational context (preferably financial sector or similarly regulated environment).
