As a Domain Architect, you act as the vital link between business strategy and IT capabilities. You translate strategic objectives into concrete technological solutions and guide the rollout of IT projects. You actively contribute to structuring and organizing IT initiatives and ensure optimal alignment between business needs and technological possibilities.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with business and IT leadership to describe and understand their business and operating models, making the company’s operating model clear and explicit
Ensure alignment between business and operating models by making interdependencies visible and ensuring all components form a logical and coherent whole
Develop business capability models, value streams, business processes, customer journey mappings, and other key business architecture deliverables to support business and product owners in their strategic decision-making
Assess the complexity and scope of new project ideas
Play a key role in drafting the business case in close collaboration with the product owner, financial business partner, and project manager
Work closely with the Program Management Office regarding the benefits, risks, issues, and reporting related to initiatives and projects
Coordinate pre-project analyses up to the business case phase by:
Involving all relevant experts, such as solution, technical and infrastructure architects, business experts, and IT DevOps teams
Developing and describing scenarios for potential solutions
Working together with the financial business partner, product owner, and project manager on cost-benefit analyses
