In this function the consultant will lead, implement and support IT projects & applications within the related to corporate business departments.
The consultant’s role is to serve as a pivotal technical expert within Group, responsible for the seamless integration and alignment of software solutions with business objectives and customer requirements. Such software solutions might correspond to “Off the shelf” product and/or “Tailor-made” solutions developed internally or outsourced This role is characterized by a high degree of autonomy and requires a deep expertise in both domain-specific software components and the broader IT landscape. The consultant is tasked with conducting thorough fit-gap analyses, translating user stories into functional requirements, guiding the development of custom solutions, and ensuring adherence to internal IT standards. Moreover, the Specialist plays a crucial role in shaping the product's technical roadmap, managing vendor relations, and contributing to the solution architecture. Bringing is functional expertise into the product team, his contribution is key and transversal along developments and operational phases for the domain he’s involved in
Tasks
The consultant is responsible for the integration of customer requirements, through performing and/or coordination configurations of the different software components.
The consultant performs fit-gap analyses of the software components linked to their product, to identify which requirements can be covered through configuration (“fit”) and which requirements cannot (“gap”).
They assess whether a “gap” is acceptable or whether custom development is required, for which they define the functional and technical requirements (e.g. translate user stories into functional requirements, consolidate functional design). Custom development dependent and limited on the capabilities of the respective software.
The consultant has a strong expertise in the software components they are specialized in, and how the software’s capabilities can be of value for the Group’s products. They demonstrate expertise with regards to a software field, with a strong understanding of the capabilities, advantages and disadvantages, etc.
Software Specialists have domain expertise of the products they are part of, except for products that are not domain specific.
The consultant oversees the integration and adaptation of the software (of the product) into the Group’s other systems (including products). The Software Specialist supports then the coordination with other functional and technical platforms during development phase.
For RFPs, Software Specialists define and evaluate the technical requirements and contribute to the functional and non-functional requirements.
They support the software adherence to the internal IT standards (security, technology, etc.)
Actively contributes to the solution architecture of the product, to ensure recommended solution architecture meets functional & non-functional requirements).

Ideal Profile
You have a bachelor’s degree in applied information technology, master’s degree or equivalent by experience, preferably with a specialization in the field of electricity,
You are fluent in French and or Dutch with an excellent knowledge of English.
You have several years’ relevant experience as a project manager tasked with selecting IT products through calls for tender (RFIs/RFPs) and monitoring the implementation and integration of these products.
You also have relevant experience as manager of IT projects based standard market products. You can easily communicate with technical architects and developers.
You have a good knowledge of Prince 2, Agile, … methodologies.
You have proven experience in writing functional design to provide specifications to development team.
You have an analytical mind and good organizational skills.
You can communicate with stakeholders as easily at the technical level as at the conceptual level but also as the steering level with excellent presentation skills,
Your customer orientation fits perfectly with your enthusiast personality and you work autonomously and easily in international and remote teams,
You could spend a few days per month abroad to work out projects in collaboration with companies of the Group and international partners,
You keep abreast of the latest IT developments.
Experience in the electricity and/or energy sector, or more generally in the field of Asset Management would be an asset
