As an IT Service Management Administrator, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the CMDB (Configuration Management Database) remains accurate and up to date. Your keen eye for detail, structured approach, and passion for precision will be key in maintaining the CMDB as a reliable source of truth for our IT environment.

We seek a candidate who takes great pride in keeping the CMDB meticulously organized and aligned with the reality of our large and complex IT infrastructure. As a member of the IT Services Team, you work closely with the Change Management, Service Level Management and Service Request Management teams and will contribute to our mission of providing 100% application uptime for over 300 critical applications.

In this role, you will actively collaborate with various teams to validate and update CMDB information, ensuring that it accurately represents the current state of our assets and configurations. Your dedication to timeliness, accuracy and meticulousness will play a crucial role in supporting our commitment to delivering outstanding IT services with minimal disruptions and maximum efficiency. 

Responsibilities

Primarily, we expect you to execute effectively and efficiently:

  • In the domain of Configuration and Asset Management:

  • Implement best practices in Configuration and Asset Management, supported by ITIL training.

  • Update and maintain accurate information in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

  • Assist in server asset & CI creation and upkeep processes, working closely with the colleagues of the IT Services Team.

  • Proactively validate CMDB data for completeness and quality, identifying areas for improvement.

  • Generate and deliver reports and lists, providing valuable insights.

  • Collaborate with the colleagues of the IT Services Team to enhance the Configuration and Asset Management Database and improve data accuracy.

  • Actively checks and follows up on the ordered Assets vs the delivered Assets.

  • in the domain of User Access Management: Update the Account Repository Administration Tool on tasks triggered by Service Request Forms (SRF).

Furthermore, we expect you to follow up on:

  • In the domain of Service Request Management: Update CMDB on tasks triggered by SRF’s.

  • In the domain of Change Management: Update CMDB on tasks triggered by RFC’s.

Ideal Profile

  • While experience in IT Service Management is preferred, we welcome candidates with a strong passion for improving the quality of data in the CMDB.

  • Familiarity with IT Service Management processes such as ITIL or COBIT is a plus.

  • Knowledge of ServiceNow (SNOW) is required, such as creating reports and updating data.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Knowledge of desktop software like Word and Excel is required.

  • Meticulous attention to detail, along with a process-oriented and customer-focused mindset.

  • Enthusiastic candidates with an interest in IT Service excellence.

  • Willingness to obtain in-depth knowledge on ITIL principles and ServiceNow with the support of provided training.

  • Effective communication skills and a flexible out-of-the-box approach to problem-solving.

  • Excellent team player with the ability to work independently.

  • A customer-oriented approach to Service delivery.

  • The right mindset and soft skills suited for an IT Service Management administrator.

  • Native Dutch speaker and excellent knowledge of English.
