As a Senior Backend Developer, you will join a multifunctional scrum team responsible for the backend and management applications of the e-commerce platform, which powers around ten multilingual websites. On each of these localized websites, our millions of customers can choose from a wide range of personalized products.

The objectives of the backend team are twofold: on the one hand, we aim to give the customers an unforgettable shopping experience by building our platform to be stable, secure, and high-performing; on the other hand, we want to provide our internal customers with powerful tools that allow them to efficiently manage products, content, and designs.

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer who wants to be part of this team and contribute to continuously improving our platform so that we can achieve our core objectives.

The team has end-to-end responsibility over our applications, including design and architecture, writing robust code, integrating with Google Cloud Platform, monitoring our services, and ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems.

Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and maintain our custom-developed platform with a focus on stability, security, and performance.

• Contribute to functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Write efficient, clean, and scalable code.

• Participate in analysis, development, automated testing, reviews, and continuous integration.

• Support internal teams with powerful tools to efficiently manage products, content, and designs.

• Contribute to the architecture, monitoring, and reliability of our systems.

• Proactively propose improvements to optimize system operations and architecture, and introduce new technologies.

• While the emphasis is on backend development, some frontend tasks for our management applications are also included.

Ideal Profile

• We are looking for an analytical, driven developer who enjoys collaborating in an agile team and takes ownership of their projects.

• You have solid experience in backend development, with .NET Framework and C# as your main area of expertise.

• You have knowledge of React, client-server protocols (REST, gRPC), cloud computing, and databases (both relational and document-based).

• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, IaC, GitHub, image processing, or big data is a plus.

• You think analytically, enjoy problem-solving, and communicate easily with your team.

• Experience in both frontend and backend development is an extra asset.

• You enjoy working in a team but can also take on tasks independently.
