As a Senior .NET Developer, you will help build and evolve a high-traffic digital commerce platform. You’ll combine hands-on development with technical ownership, while contributing to architectural decisions and supporting other developers within the team.

Tasks

  • Build and improve web applications: Develop new functionality and enhance existing solutions using technologies such as C#, .NET, ASP.NET, TypeScript, HTML5 and SQL. You’ll work on applications where reliability, speed and scalability are key.

  • Deliver maintainable software: Write well-structured, reusable code and help maintain strong engineering standards across the development team. You’ll analyse technical requirements, implement automated and unit testing, and participate actively in peer code reviews.

  • Performance and observability: Use logging, monitoring and data-analysis solutions, including tools such as BigQuery, to identify bottlenecks and technical issues before they impact users. You’ll also contribute ideas on how the platform and its architecture can evolve over time.

  • Technical leadership: Act as a point of reference for less experienced developers, sharing knowledge and providing guidance when needed. You’ll help ensure consistency and quality across the codebase.

  • Agile delivery: Work closely with developers and other stakeholders to translate requirements into realistic technical solutions. You’ll contribute to estimations, sprint planning and prioritisation, while helping the team deliver agreed features and technical milestones.

Ideal Profile

  • Strong .NET expertise: Solid professional experience with C#, .NET and ASP.NET, combined with a good understanding of modern web development using TypeScript and HTML5.

  • Data & backend development: Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL and stored procedures.

  • Cloud & DevOps exposure: Experience with technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Cloud Run, Docker and Terraform is highly valued.

  • Development ecosystem: Comfortable working with modern IDEs and debugging tools, Git/GitHub, Jira and SQL Server tooling. You also understand the fundamentals of networking and common network protocols.

  • Modern web engineering: Familiar with topics such as responsive development, web performance, search optimisation (SEO/GEO), application security and common software design patterns.

  • Problem-solving skills: Able to break down complex technical challenges, understand functional requirements and turn them into reliable and efficient software solutions.

  • Ownership and attention to detail: You work accurately, follow through on commitments and take responsibility for the quality of what you deliver.

  • You’re an experienced software engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and improving the way applications are designed and built. You take ownership of your work, communicate openly with colleagues and enjoy contributing to a collaborative development environment.
