Observability Engineer

As an Observability Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting stakeholders to understand the performance, health and cost of applications and infrastructure. You will work in the Platform Engineering team and will closely collaborate with our development teams to build, manage and maintain the platform observability capabilities.

Main responsibilities

  • Design, implement, optimize and maintain observability pipelines that collect, aggregate, detect anomalies and analyze data from various sources.
  • Collaborate with the development teams to capture requirements and evangelize observability within the internal development platform.
  • Recommend and implement optimizations to ensure efficient performance.
  • Manage logs that are collected, stored and analyzed effectively.
  • Ensure compliance and security.
  • Manage cost associated with observability tools, applications and infrastructure within the platform.
  • Support data-driven decision making by providing valuable insights.
  • Maintaining and supporting the internal development platform.

Ideal Profile

  • You are passionate about observability and have at least 4 years of professional experience.
  • You have proven experience with Azure services and cloud concepts. Having certification is a plus.
  • You have proven experience with managing and maintaining Kubernetes environments. Having certification is a plus.
  • You have experience with scripting and automation tools.
  • You have experience with building infrastructure-as-code and managing configuration via code.
  • You understand software development lifecycles and deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions).
  • You have an affinity with software engineering. Familiarity with Java Spring stack is a plus.
  • You have strong communicative skills, verbal as well as written.
  • You are embracing industry trends, best practices and standards.
  • You are willing to continuously learn and improve your skills.
  • You are eager to investigate and solve complex challenges.
  • You love thinking outside of the box.
