As a Platform Support Engineer, you are the primary point of contact for the reliability, ongoing evolution, and day-to-day operation of an Internal Developer Platform (IDP). You support development teams, implement new platform functionalities, and safeguard the stability and performance of the platform ecosystem. In doing so, you directly contribute to a smooth and efficient developer experience.
Responsibilities
Platform Operations
- Monitoring and optimizing the performance, availability, and scalability of the internal developer platform
- Ensuring the stability and reliability of platform components
Detection and Improvement
- Proactively tracking platform and system indicators to detect bottlenecks
- Identifying and defining improvements in close collaboration with the product and development teams
Platform Feature Implementation
- Deploying, configuring, and maintaining new platform services and functionalities
- Supporting the further development and standardization of the platform
Developer Enablement
- Coaching and supporting development teams in line with DevOps principles and processes
- Contributing to documentation, guidelines, and best practices for platform usage
Incident Management
- Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex incidents related to platform components, resources, and deployments
- Actively following up on incidents and proposing structural improvements
Ideal Profile
Technical Expertise
- At least 2 years of professional experience with Microsoft Azure
- Azure Administrator Associate certification is a plus
- Proven experience managing and maintaining Kubernetes environments
- Strong analytical skills in monitoring and observability
- Experience with CI/CD processes and software development lifecycles
- Affinity with software development; knowledge of the Java Spring stack is an asset
