Responsibilities

1. Testing Strategy Design

  • Develop the overarching testing strategy that aligns with organizational goals and agile methodologies, in collaboration with the Tribe Product Owner.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testing strategies meet business, functional, and technical requirements.

  • Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of testing strategies and continually optimize them.

2. Define Testing Practices

  • Standardize testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing.

  • Advocate for a shift-left approach to embed quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Promote the adoption of exploratory testing, automated testing, and other modern testing techniques.

3. Testing Tool Selection and Implementation

  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend testing tools that align with the organization’s needs and technical stack.

  • Lead proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives to assess new tools and technologies.

  • Oversee the integration of tools into CI/CD pipelines for seamless and automated testing.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work with main stakeholders to ensure testing efforts align with user expectations and product goals.

  • Communicate testing strategies, progress, and outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ideal Profile

  • Language requirements: Sound knowledge of English - knowledge of a local language is a plus (French / Dutch)

  • Education: Bachelor/Master or equivalent by experience

Agile requirements    

The person joining the tribe will have to

  • Act as the owner of testing initiatives within agile teams, ensuring alignment with sprint goals and delivery timelines.

  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and DevOps teams to establish testing as a cornerstone of the development process.

  • Foster a culture of quality and accountability across all teams.

  • Thirst for knowledge: Agile is about learning and adapting. Knowledge sharing is key to success.

Required experience / knowledge  

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience

Technical experience               

Mandatory      

  • Understanding of test automation frameworks and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments, UI, API and performance testing tools.

Business experience           

Preferable        

  • Specific requirement for agile: practical experience with Scrum

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies.
