For the transition from an outdated and fragmented application landscape to a modern and future-oriented platform, we are looking for a Test Engineer with a strong technical background. In this role, you combine manual testing with setting up and maintaining automated test flows, and you play a key role in safeguarding the quality of business-critical applications.

From the outset, you will be closely involved in building the testing framework within the new application landscape. During the migration phase, you will also contribute to testing within the existing, complex environment, where applications are highly interconnected and documentation is limited. You analyze this environment, introduce structure, and help manage risks in a context where errors can have significant impact.

You work closely with analysts responsible for functional testing, while you take ownership of the technical testing responsibilities.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Actively contributing to the setup and development of the test strategy within a new application platform
• Performing manual and automated testing in both the existing and the new landscape
• Analyzing and structuring complex technical environments with tightly coupled components
• Identifying and mitigating risks within business-critical applications
• Setting up and maintaining end-to-end test flows
• Collaborating closely with analysts, developers, and other stakeholders

Ideal Profile

Education & Experience

• Relevant experience as a Test Engineer (minimum medior level)
• Strong technical affinity and experience in complex IT environments

Technical Skills (Must-Haves)

• End-to-end testing of web applications (Cypress)
• Load testing with k6
• Working with Docker and Docker Compose
• Version control and CI/CD using GitHub and GitHub Actions
• Monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, and/or Grafana
