We are looking for an experienced and driven Global Test Manager to join a major global transformation program. You will lead the testing strategy, execution, and quality assurance activities for the global implementation of AMOS, a leading aircraft maintenance and engineering system, across multiple airline operations.

As a key member of the global implementation team, you will work closely with business stakeholders, airline representatives, implementation partners, and project leadership to ensure a seamless transition to live operations. The program follows a Waterfall delivery methodology and focuses primarily on business process validation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) within a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solution environment.

Beyond traditional testing responsibilities, you will play a critical role in cut-over preparation, go-live readiness rehearsals, deployment support, and post go-live triage activities, ensuring a controlled and risk-mitigated implementation.

Responsibilities

Define, lead, and execute the global testing strategy aligned with business objectives and quality standards.

Establish and enforce best-practice testing methodologies, governance frameworks, and defect management processes.

Plan, coordinate, and oversee all test phases, including:

  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  • Integration Testing

  • Regression Testing

  • Performance Testing

  • End-to-End Business Process Validation

Lead and coordinate a distributed network of test resources, including airline business users participating in UAT activities.

Work closely with Product Owners, Process Leads, Data Migration Leads, Interface Teams, Training Teams, and Program Management to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Manage test planning, execution, reporting, issue resolution, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.

Prepare and coordinate cut-over testing activities and validate operational readiness.

Lead go-live rehearsals and support deployment readiness assessments.

Coordinate post go-live triage and stabilization support, ensuring efficient issue resolution and business continuity.

Identify testing risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Provide executive-level reporting on testing progress, KPIs, quality metrics, and key risks.

Drive continuous improvement across testing processes and quality management practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in software and business testing.

  • Minimum 3+ years in a Test Manager, Test Lead, or similar leadership role.

  • Proven experience managing User Acceptance Testing and business process validation activities.

  • Experience delivering testing within large-scale enterprise transformation programs.

  • Strong knowledge of defect management, test governance, and quality assurance frameworks.

  • Hands-on experience with test management tools such as qTest, HP ALM, TestRail, or similar solutions.

  • ISTQB certification.

  • Strong reporting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience within the aviation industry or a closely related operational environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Aviation, or a related field.

  • Experience with aviation Maintenance Information Systems (MIS), particularly AMOS implementations.

  • Experience supporting system migrations, including initiatives such as Trax to AMOS transitions.

  • Experience with Jira and qTest (Tricentis).

  • Exposure to global airline operations and maintenance processes.

  • Additional language skills such as Dutch, French, or German are considered an asset.
